California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Dietetics.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Supervises and coordinates activities of clinical dietitians.
Assists in the establishment of policies and procedures dealing with nutritional screening and assessment.
Provides for the nutritional education of the resident population and employees.
Serves as liaison between the medical staff, clinical director and program management.
Trains and evaluates staff.
Assists in the supervision of the Dietetic Services.
We require a Baccalaureate degree in a dietetic program or a Master's degree approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Two years of experience in dietetic practice, and Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
The CHCF-PIP is an inpatient psychiatric program operated within the California Health Care Facility, Stockton. The PIP-Stockton has 514 beds, with both an Acute Treatment Program and an Intermediate Treatment Program. The CHCF, including PIP-Stockton beds, is licensed as a Correctional Treatment Center, Title 22, Division 5, Chapter 12. The PIP-Stockton is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Behavioral Healthcare Facility. Under direction, to assist in the general operation of the food service and dietary activities of a State institution other than a correctional facility; to have specific assigned responsibilities in the area of clinical or administrative dietetic practice; and to do other related work.
